The eminent historian of Leeds Jewish history, Murray Freedman has written a history and trail of Jewish Leeds, and details its history from small beginnings in the early 19th century, to its height as one of the leading Anglo-Jewish communities. While Leeds has declined from its pre-War importance, it is still a leading Jewish center in England out-side of London and Manchester.
