It is recommended that disabled visitors park close to the Cathedral. There is a car park at Castle Hill very close to the Cathedral which gives a level approach to the Cathedral itself. The Cathedral provides partial access via ramps, the loan of wheelchairs, as well as disabled facilities including toilets. There is also an exhibition for the blind and partially sited and provision for those with a hearing difficulty. The main problems are to be encountered in visiting Steep Hill and the Strait which have steep to very steep slopes (though they are negotiated by wheel-chairs) and the interiors of these domestic buildings have very poor access. While the pavements are well laid, the roads are cobbled in this area. The local tourist information centers, at 9 Castle Hill, and 21 the Corn Hill, can provide further information.
