On the 3rd and 12th of September, JTrails Director, Marcus Roberts, lead two groups on walking tours of Lincoln, to celebrate the European Days of Jewish Heritage and the Heritage Open Days, respectively. The events were also part of a community celebration to mark the conclusion of the Lincoln Jewish Community (LJC) Heritage HLF Project, in partnership with JTrails, at which the Mayor of Lincoln was present, in addition to inter-faith representatives and the CEO of the British Board of Deputies. The project has seen the training of local members of the community as Jewish heritage tour-guides, the creation of a successful mobile exhibition, the successful publication of both Town and Cathedral Jewish heritage trails and the inclusion of the JTrail of Lincoln as an official themed trail on the 'Visit Lincoln' web-site. The celebration garden party included the fist performance of the LJC Klezmer band - quite probably the first Klezmer band in the history of Lincoln!
