In addition to all this, there were Jewish engravers and portraitists in Bath, as well. An engraver, Benazech, was recorded as working in Bath in 1789. Mr. A. Polack, Junior produced miniatures.

On comparing the Bath Jewry with other Jewish communities in provincial towns, it is evident that the community did not seem to make the impact on the place that many other Jewish communities did elsewhere. There were to be no Jewish mayors or alderman in Bath. While Simon Barrow, the former governor of Beth Holim, became alderman and mayor of Bath in 1836 and 1837 respectively, this was only after he and his family converted to Christianity at Walcot Parish Church, in 1828, following the death of his wife.
